Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  So, who am I? I'm Stacey but friends call me 'Sketty' and I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation.  Why?  Well, when my Mom died I sort of just let myself go.  I pretty much stopped writing and performing comedy and I lost interest in everything.  Thing is, I made a promise to her that I would carry on and that I would make memories.  I don't want to be the person I have become so y'know what? I'm making huge positive changes in order to turn things around.  I refuse to carry on like this because I know that my heart won't stand for it.  I'm lazy, I'm over-weight, I'm tired and I ache.  In short, I'm setting myself up for serious ill health the older I get.  I'm stopping this now.  I'm training to trek Machu Picchu on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.  I won't know anyone else on the trek and I'm struggling.  I need all the support and encouragement I can get because making changes is hard.  Stopping bad habits is hard mostly because bad habits feel so good -  TEMPORARILY.  This journey is not just about fundraising, it's about weight loss, increasing fitness and improving my heart health.  I will have one heck of a story to share and I know it will be funny.....REALLY funny.  Please come with me on my journey and if you can find it within you, please donate to help me reach my fundraising goal.  Thanks for checking out my page and don't miss the LIFE OF BRIAN BEARDFEST event in July.  That is going to be AMAZING.
