Hello,
My name is Sandra OToole and I am the Founder and sole organiser of The First ever Isle of Wight Vegan Festival held in July 2016, at Ventnor Park, it was a very successful, beautiful FREE, one day event.
The first event was organised in ten weeks solely by myself, there was lovely Vegan food for sale, Live music, Holistic therapies, Childrens entertainment, Food demonstrations, Belly dancers, Morris dancers, Frack free, Vegan Skin Care, Craft Stalls, as well as Vegan information stalls.
I funded The First ever Isle of Wight Vegan Festival myself from my very small income, and from generous loans from good friends which obviously had to be paid back, without this help I would not have got this festival off the ground. I am ever grateful.
I did my best to organise and fund The Isle of Wight Vegan Festival 2017, writing to over fifty potential sponsors, to help fund this three day event with camping.
Fifteen bands, Six Djs six soloists, childrens entertainers, speakers, films, food stalls, huge tents, soundman, stage, water supply, generated electric supply, fencing, and lots more were all booked and had to be notified personally by me of the festivals postponement.
You can imagine my embarrasment, but at the last minute I realised that I had to make a drastic descision considering that the costs of the surprise venue change and ensuing huge extra costs, meant it was just not financially viable, with not one sponsor coming forward and having faith in this event, if I had continued I would now be in a large amount of debt.
Although I am now not in the greatest of health I do not give up easily, and I know that this wonderful event is very much welcomed by The Isle of Wight, as well as people on the mainland, and abroad, according to the huge disapointment shown when it was postponed until 2018, so will continue to organise the 2018 event.
This year will be a one day FREE event, and all money taken from traders and donations will be put back into the Isle of Wight Vegan Festival Fund, building the event year by year, and will turn into a three day event with camping, all being well in 2019, so please come and buy all the Vegan goodies :)

This festival is a dream of mine, I am a passionate Vegan and very happy to be part of the movement that is so high on the agenda of climate change issues due to industrial animal production exploitation and cruelty, this affects us all, animals and humans alike.
Veganism is the future just ask your children and grandchildren, they are in the know.
I wanted to put the Isle of Wight on the Vegan Calendar and I feel I have succeeded already with help from kind promotors, who have advertised The Isle of Wight Vegan Festival on local radio, magazines and newspapers.
This event has also been supported by The Vegan Society, a fact I am VERY proud of.
Please help me continue to grow The Isle of Wight Vegan Festival, by donating as much or as little as you can, I appreciate every little penny.
