Drugs 'worth £11m' seized in Hampshire and Merseyside raids

Raids in Hampshire and Merseyside led to the largest seizure of class A drugs in a Hampshire Constabulary investigation, the force said.

Six men and a woman were charged following the searches on Monday.

Police seized 42kg of cocaine, 3kg of cannabis, 2kg of amphetamine and a quantity of MDMA.

The street value of the drugs has been estimated at £11m. The accused appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court earlier and were remanded in custody.

They are due to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 1 December.
