The Ryde Ice rink is due to shut on 25th March, unless someone else comes in to run it, planet ice are pulling out and the lease can be taken over for £5 which includes fixtures and fittings.

Planet ice have lost money for last seven years on this site and for them that is no longer financially viable, what is needed is someone to come in and have the funds and means to run the rink.

General public, ice hockey teams such as the Wightlink Raiders, Wightlink Tigers, rec teams, figure skaters; Wight Jewels, Crystals and the Sparkles, plus all the staff, fans and social visitors to the rink are all going to be massively affected by this!

This rink must be saved!  The more names and publicity we get to save our rink the more likely it will stay open or to be taken over and kept running!
