We provide opportunities to help people lead happy, healthy lives

Story

Your donation of just £1 a year or anything more can help support young lives.

YMCA Children’s Bereavement Service provides professional bereavement counselling to children and young people living on the Isle of Wight. With initial start-up funding ending next year (2014), your local children’s charity gratefully needs your donation.

Children and young people are affected by loss and grief and it is the service’s role to listen, reassure, give advice, and ultimately help individuals to grieve in a healthy way. Those accessing support are not charged and can access as many counselling sessions as they need. We offer training to child-based professionals to improve awareness of the varied affects that bereavement has on young lives whilst we help shape bereavement policies and procedures.
