Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Just over 8 years ago, I lost my Dad to a Brain Tumour. In 2004, following major brain surgery, intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Dad was given just 2 years to live. Sadly he passed away in March 2006 at the young age of 61 years. This loss has devastated our family. He left behind a wife of 42 years, they would have been celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary this year, three children and 5 grandchildren. Dad should be here to enjoy his retirement having worked so hard all his life. He has left a huge hole in all our lives. My hope for the future is that no family has to lose a loved one to this awful disease. Please help me to raise vital funds in order to bring that day one step nearer.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the UK's largest dedicated brain tumour charity. Over 9,100 people are diagnosed every year with a primary brain tumour. They fund scientific and clinical research into brain tumours and offer support and information to those affected, whilst raising awareness and influencing policy.
