New walking leaflet from Isle of Wight ramblers encourages bus use

Many thanks to David for sharing details of this new leaflet with OnTheWight readers. Ed

Isle of Wight Ramblers has designed a new walking leaflet “Rambles by Bus”.

This is the first in a series of leaflets to encourage more people to walk and to be less reliant on the motor car.

The first walk is “Towering Tennyson”- a walk from Alum Bay visiting the Needles, the Needles batteries and Tennyson Monument.

Where to find it
The leaflet (downloadble below) will be widely available at Southern Vectis terminals, the Ramblers Website www.iowramblers.com and from Summer shows and over 70 Walker Friendly Pubs.

David Howarth, Area Chairman, IW Ramblers, said,

“We are delighted to be working with Southern Vectis to produce these leaflets. They are packed with information and the maps are easy to use. We hope to see more people travelling by bus and enjoying the healthy pursuit of walking on our beautiful Island.”
