RIBA launch design competition for Island kids

Thanks to Steph Austin for sharing the detail. Ed

With the Isle of Wight Society & Conservation and RIBA Award Ceremony just around the corner, we are calling on children from eight to 14 years old across the Island to design a bridge over the Ryde Esplanade, linking Appley Tower to the children’s playground and to create a new use for Appley Tower.

We would like you to be as creative, outrageous and imaginative as possible!

All entries exhibited
Anything and everything will be considered! All entries will be exhibited at the Awards Ceremony and both the winners and short-listed entries will be published here.

The first five entries we receive, will win a set of drawing pencils.

Fancy having some fun and getting involved?

Here is how to play

Finally, submit your design (maximum size A4 square) on the front and written description of your creation on the back along with your name, age, address and contact telephone number.
