Crafters invited to join ‘Crafting for the Arctic’ project

Peace loving Islander Linda Barnes has been in touch to share details of a new project she is working on.

She’s just started up the ‘Crafting for the Arctic’ project, initiated by Greenpeace to raise awareness of the problems facing the Arctic and help fund Greenpeace’s work in attempting to protect it from man made pollution (oil drilling) etc.

Linda has been busy making a motley collection of crocheted polar bear key rings which along with other bits and bobs she plans to sell to raise awareness and funds for the initiative.

Calling all crafters
As there are lots of crafters on the Island, Linda would like to get the word out to see whether any others would like to join her and contribute to the group.

Linda says that she can supply most of the materials (at no charge).

If you would like to join Linda and the small group of crafters who are busily making items to sell for the project you can contact her on 077452 44856 or email [email protected].
