As you can see from the photo, the Needles View Point site is without doubt in the most impressive location of any of the meteorites for the Dinosaur Island App. It’s simply stunning.
That beauty comes with a price – this is the only Meteorite that you will have to do some serious walking to get to, being as the car accessible road is pretty remote (as you can see from the map below).
Do make the effort, it’s well worth it.
If you don’t want to pay for parking at The Needles, the other option is to follow the Walk the Wight route and walk up Tennyson Down from Freshwater Bay, passing the Tennyson Memorial cross at its crest.
While you’re at The Needles, be sure to visit the old rocket testing site.
