Story
YMCA Children's Bereavement Service supports children and young people on the Isle of Wight that have been affected by the death of someone important to them. They offer a free professional bereavement counselling service for children and young people up to 18 years old. The service also helps to educate the wider community about the varied effects that bereavement has on young lives, whilst they play a key role in developing appropriate support networks.
Dr Jacqueline Tracey has built up her running skills from zero to almost the required 10 miles for the Great South Run and is really hoping to bring lots of donations into the service which is constantly looking at ways to become sustainable.
