Walk the Wight 2009: Only Four Days Left to Register

Only Four Days Left to Register for Walk the Wight 2009Time flies when you’re having fun, so if you were intending to register to Walk the Wight which takes place next month and haven’t got around to it yet, you only have four days left to do so.

According to the organisers a whopping 10,800 people have registered so far for the annual walk that raises much needed cash for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

You can either choose to walk 13 miles, 26 miles or do the Flat Walk of 8.5 miles along the cycle paths. School children taking part can opt to walk 4 miles from Freshwater Bay to finish line.

You will need to register to take part in the walk, so make sure you complete and have your registration form with the fundraising office at the Hospice by Friday 1st May.

Alternatively you can register through their Web site.

David Cheek Head of Fundraising said “This is a phenomenal number of people and we are so grateful for the tremendous support the Island’s Hospice is receiving.”
